Shanghai, China

Last year was Danang, Vietnam. And this year is... SHANGHAI! Well not exactly only Shanghai, we went to a few places in China.

Well, because it's my first time travelling to a cold country, I seriously didn't know what to pack. So, I was a mess.

Make up stuffs...
I didn't bring any foundation or BB cream. So I only brought along with me concealer, loose powder, blusher, eye shadow, eye liner, eye brow pencil, contact lens (which ended up I didn't wear at all), and a brush for the blusher.

Skin care stuffs...

Everyone kept reminding that it is important to keep hydrated. So I brought along whatever I have that is hydrating. Well, of cos I didn't bring the whole big bottle in the pictures, I packed them in smaller bottles bought from Daiso.

So I brought, cleanser, toner, moisturizer, night cream, Laneige's water bank night mask, Bio-essense's Bio water, Hydrating sheet masks and last but not least, sun block.

Laneige's water bank night mask works wonders. With all of the above, I am glad my face was perfectly fine until the day we came back. :D

Bought 2 of these from Uniqlo. It works OK in my opinion... Total, I brought 4 over. :)

All these are what was in my handbag throughout the trip.

Passport holder, camera, specs box, mobile phone (d-uh), Loose powder, tissue, wet tissue, earphones, mp3, lip balm and my emergency pack (tiger balm and plasters).

Don't bring only 1 tissue in your bag. Bring at least 3! Er... well... I'm paranoid like that. :S

Well, passport checked, visa checked, everything else checked... OFF WE GO!

AirAsiaX :)

In-flight meals.

The Teriyaki so so only but the Nasi Lemak was awesome! I wish to finish all the sambal but I scared I will need to do a lot of number 2s...

ARRIVED!

I don't really remember and some I don't know the location. Mainly because, I don't read chinese and the tour guide speaks too fast until I can't even catch what he said... I do have the list of the places that we went as it was given by the tour agent, just that it was not in order. I will post it at the end of this post...

The tour guide said that this pond is the first pond the Chinese start rearing fish for leisure and enjoy watching them.

Look like four leaves clover?

The amazing part about China is that they have A LOT of toilets everywhere! But the sad part is, there are no toilet papers. That's why I said, bring your own tissuess! There is another sad part. MOST of the doors can't lock. Can't lock, nobody inside nvm. Can't lock and got ppl inside doing business! I pengsan... @.@

First dinner in China.

Nope... No picts of the food. Didn't like the food...

Night market. Nothing much here.

The next morning, while dragging our luggage to the lift to check-out, suddenly my handbag fell... it broke. :(

Lunch!

This lunch place reminds me a little of the Brazilian grill in Damansara. I was too hungry so I didn't snap any of the grilled stuffs. Got BBQ sweet potato! Food here was OK.

Oh! I remember this place the most because of the lighting! This is outside of the Suzhou's Bird Nest. The lighting is damn pretty!

Suzhou Museum. I think...

Little kids in China damn cute. I just hope they don't end up like the adults. :X

This is some sort like a show they put up for the audience.

One of the hotel's toilet. Damn canggih. But no wifi. Damn sad!

This... I've climbed 290 steps! I didn't even climb our very own Batu Caves and I climbed here! To be honest, it's a pretty easy climb. the steps are not too high apart.

Another night street thingie. It was Women's Day and it was DAMN packed!

SHANGHAI BAYBEH!

LIGHTS!!! LIGHTS!!! I WENT CRAZY!

And the next day... in this paper cup is hot chocolate. Probably the most awesome-est hot chocolate I've ever tasted in my entire life. It was thick and smooth! Unlike the ones in KL, so diluted! I will miss u very much, hot chocolate. T.T

We were at the Shanghai Pearl Tower. I almost died. I am afraid of heights. Phobia!!!

That little boy very cute. He tried to go on the glass, and after about 2 to 3 steps out, he will run back in again. LoL...

Nice statue eh? So romantic.

The DUCK!

This is the brothel. No... Not now wan... Ancient. Dunno how many millenniums ago wan...

This was where the prostitutes bathed...

This was how they do it... Feels like Kamasutra. :P

Got pictures some more...

Ouh! We were suppose to have dinner at one of the restaurants, but we arrived early. So we hung around at the waiting area. This puppy DAMN CHUBBY and DAMN CUTE! So geram!!!

Just because I didn't wanna buy it and it's a moo. :P

And... we go home... Love the sky color.
The flight back was horrible. A lot or turbulence. A lot of clouds. So scary, I cried. Seriously! I cried! T.T

When we were flying back, I saw this plane next to us. I hoped that it was MH370 flying back together with us. :'(

Me and my HBP

I came back from Shanghai like 2 weeks ago and I have yet to come up with any post about it. Heh... I've done the video of the pictures tho. But I’m having difficulties picking pictures for the post. Anyhow, the post will be up real soon! If not, i will forget every single detail about the trip.

It seems that my new year resolution failed miserably... Blog more often eh? Ppfffttt... I’m even quiet on Instagram... The only thing I’m active on my phone now is The Sims and I Love Coffee. And when i turned on my laptop, it’s always connected to my TV to watch shows and dramas... yea... my laptop is really useful... Somehow, I feel that my laptop is giving me problems. Can’t point my finger on what tho... Hrmm...

Oh... I went to the Dr the other day. And Dr said that my HBP is getting higher. And he asked me to REALLY control my diet and do more exercise. For the first time in my 29 years, I was at the clinic for good 1 hour and 15 minutes. Well... I'm at 190/120. Of cos the Dr wants to lecture me. But then again, how often u find a good Dr who actually bother to lecture u at God forsaken hours (5am). I don't kno if I am consider lucky or not. He said he is only at the clinic at the times that I won't go see a Dr unless I need to MC. Mondays Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 11pm till 7am only. o.O

Things that he told me to do… which I am slllloooowwwllyyy adapting… are…

1, Stop eating processed food
Whatever comes in a packet or bottle or… anything processed… STOP eating them. They contained highest amount of salt. So, say good bye to sausages and hams. My all time favourites…

2, Don’t put salt in any food.
When I asked the Dr whether issit because of sodium? He said no. Well partly yes… He said in everything, any food it contains sodium or salt. Very minimal of it. It is so minimal that we can’t even taste them. That’s why processed food contain a lot of salt. Because to make it taste yummy. That’s why actually, there is no need to put in more salt.

To be honest, I don’t know what I am babbling about. I was at the Dr at 5am. I was trying to absorb as much as I can at that time.

Anyways… Moving on…

3, Your plate of meal should be…
¼ = rice
2/4 = vege
¼ = meat

4, Exercise.
He told me… good news is, all I need to do are just walks… To me, it is not a good news.

My area is very dangerous that I don’t dare to go out for evening walks. I don’t even dare to just walk to the nearest shop to buy stuffs. Not because I’m lazy… it’s because of all the snatch thieves. My colleague suggested to sign up for Celebrity Fitness, which my company has this employee benefit. Which I still can’t afford even with the benefit, and also I do not have a credit card anymore to sign up. Unless I go to the club house but that I will need to pay toll… well, of cos toll is much more cheaper than signing up for fitness club. hrm… need to figure this out…

I asked, can I walk in the mall then? Does shopping counts? He said, no stopping fast pace walks. If u can do that in a mall… u can… so… I probably will look like a woman who is rushing to somewhere walking fast and aimlessly for 30 minutes. Oh… I tried walking from old wing to new wing without stopping but slow pace… and that took 30 minutes… imagine fast pace… I guess that would work too. “that woman again… gila ka?” haha!

5, Have enough sleep
At first he counted for me 6 hours… then I told him, that 6 hours of sleep I will still feel like a zombie. Usually I go for 8 hours. He said “oh! Even better!” but good news is… yes. Definitely a good news for me. I can replace some hours with naps after work. :P But sometimes I try not to cos after the naps, I will feel my head is breaking into 2. :S

So ya, that’s pretty much about it.

MH370

When I first heard about the missing plane, I was in China. I was kinda relieved that we didn't decide to go Beijing instead. While feeling relieved, I was feeling worried. Why MAS? I couldn't keep scrolling my facebook and also twitter there. Not because it was banned, but I didn't have any data roaming. I was kinda pissed as well that the tour company saying the hotels would be 4 star hotels. OK... Maybe they ARE 4 star hotels but their 4 star hotels didn't even have wifi. Some has wifi in the lobby but I was too lazy to put on the large thick jackets to go down. Some didn't even have any wifi in the entire hotel. We jumped a few hotels cos the tour covers a few area and the one with no wifi in the entire hotel was in Shanghai... SHANGHAI leh!  T.T

Anyhow, luckily China have a TV program specifically for updates on MH370. While sitting in front of the TV for 1 and half hours waiting for a more positive update, it only announces stuffs repeatedly. Like, what time the plane took off, what time they lost contact, what time they announced the missing plane and made it public, what time what was deployed for the search, which country is assisting on the search… etc… etc…

I got back to Malaysia on 12th March. 4th day of the missing plane. Still no news. Why?

There’s a lot of assumptions on FB. Crashed into the sea. Hijacking. Crashed in Penang. Crashed near Malacca. Landed in India. I'm reading there are total of eight possibilities. So many assumptions! The latest I read was India has joined the search and now searching around uninhabited jungle islands. Making them the 12th country to assist on the search.

Is this why the family members from China being "accidentally" transited to India cos the plane indeed landed in India? *gaspssss*

Did they went in to the time tunnel?? Such thing really exist?

I personally think that Malaysian Government knows something that we don’t know and don’t want anyone to know and want to settle it in shadow. That’s why they kept on denying stuffs. We are now also at the top of the shame stage! I don’t wanna say what, but I believe everyone knows what I’m talking about. I hope I’m wrong tho about the whole settling in shadow thing…

Whatever the reason is, I hope all 239 of them on the plane are still alive and safe and will go back to their family soon.

Pathetic Sliced Watermelon for replacement in Kim Gary Sunway Branch

so, u have deleted my post eh? its ok. i can post it again. in fact, this whole post will be in my blog, so that in case if this post is missing again, i can just easily look it up and repost it.

u saw that photograph of watermelon? looks pathetic eh? lemme REMIND you what happened on 30th jan.

we went to kim gary sunway branch and there was about 8 of us for supper. and of cos we ordered meal sets. we were being advised that the borsch soup is finished and your staff advised us that it will be replaced with fruits. we were more than happy to accept it because fruits are of cos a more healthier option.

but to our surprise, we were being served with these pathetic looking watermelon. if i am not mistaken, your borsch soup costs approximately RM4. does that plate of watermelon look like RM4 to you!? i can buy a better amount for even RM1 at a random cut fruits stalls! WE FEEL CHEATED!

at the end, we did not touch a single piece of those sliced watermelon. so instead of replacing the soup with fruits, u r wasting that plate of fruits.

we questioned your staff, why were we being served  with such sad looking plate of sliced watermelon? does this even justify to the soup? and guessed what we were being replied. IT WAS THE MANAGEMENT'S ORDER!

so almost immediately, i posted on your page. i understand that it was CNY, so i gave enough time for you to respond. but instead of giving me the result of investigation, you just acknowledge my post with :

"Greetings from Kim Gary,

A very sorry to you for the incident that you had experienced, we will feedback to the respective department and investigate this case internally.

Thank you for your comment, because this can help us to improve our service.

Best regards,
Kim Gary Customer Service"

fine. it was still CNY. i gave more time. but today, when i want to follow up, my post was being deleted. i cannot find anywhere! "Best regards, Kim Gary Customer Service"? what sort of customer service is this? are you joking with a customer service who has been in the service line for more than 10 years? your company motto is "Make Customers Say Marvelous"? sure! MARVELOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!

so, dear management, now i am questioning you. are these your decisions? to serve customers with pathetic looking plate of  watermelon? i totally understand if your instructions are to replace the soup with watermelon. but with sliced watermelon? seriously?

here is what i want you guys to do :-
1, explaination on why was the pathetic looking plate of watermelon that does not even cost RM1 being served to cheat customers
2, explaination on why is my post being deleted and i am banned from posting on your page
3, explaination on the time line u need to rectify a complain and get back to customer. u do not have time line? i guess it is time to set one

Wu Guai

last year we bought some turtles home. we bought 4 cos they said it is buy 3 free 1. we brought 2 back to our house and another 1 back to my mom's place. we rare them the usual way la. in a plastic container with some water.

and the fell sick...

we damn gan jeong lor! we searched high and low through google. at first i tot this breed is a tortoise. so i keep calling them tortoise. after searching high and low and seek advised from the pro (the pet shop in ikano, forgot the name of that shop). it's actually a turtle. damn malu ah. T.T

so, 1 was due to dirty water, 1 was due to cold, 1 was... dunno why very weak. not eating. so the guy said, be prepared. lol... another 1 is healthy. oh. all these 4 is actually... 2 ours and another 2 her sis and bro in law's. forgive us ok. first time having turtles as pets. hehe...

as for the 2 creatures at my mom's house they are at first healthy, but then after that. 1 died. sudden death. so, left 1.

so i the ones in our house, we have already moved them to an aquarium instead. forgot to take pict. we bought a bulb to heat the basking area and a heater for the water. unfortunately, all died and left 1. her bro in law actually bought another 2. and... 1 died. ppfffftttt... T3T

as for the one in my mom's hse... since there's only 1 left. and the container that we place her in was stopping her from growing, so i moved her into an aquarium. well, the aquarium initially are for fishes. i guess i do not have luck with fishes. they all died. people always tell me that guppies are easy to rare, but still ALL died. the worst thing is, one of the fish gave birth, the aquarium was full of fishes...!!! and ALLLLL slowly died one by one! sighs... so the huge aquarium... only has 1 small fish.

so i moved out that pathetic lonely fish from the big tank, and bought a new filter and a bridge thingie for the basking area. washed and all... and...

tada~

dunno why she likes to hang out at the filter area. maybe its the bubbles... :P

btw, im moving my Project 365 to my Dayre instead. check me out yo! http://dayre.me/blurco
