Bus chasing team

Chinese New Year passed and now only I wanna blog about it. I am such a disciplined blogger. 

We planned to go back to KL on 26th till 31st January and I manage to buy the First Coach tickets 1 month before that at 5am to avoid the website congested. 

On 26th itself, we woke up very early and got out of the house early. It was about 6:35am when we left our house. Once the cab hit the expressway, the traffic was crazy. We were thinking it was only because of the rain. When we switched on our Waze, it was accidents everywhere. To our horror, the ETA stated on was 7:46am. Being so jammed, we knew the ETA will be dragged later and later. We called the First Coach office and being advised that they only can wait 5 minutes. 

By the time we arrived Star Vista, it was already 7:56am. We were not the only one missing the bus. Another 2 girls arrived the same time as we did. The First Coach person told us that the bus just left. 4 of us discussed and decided to share a cab to Tuas to chase the bus. 

We got a cab pretty quick and we chased. While chasing, I updated my FB status. “Pray for us. We are on fast and furious mission to catch the bus”. When we arrived, the girl paid in cash and we exchanged numbers so that we can transfer the share to her. I saved her as “missed bus girl” cos I didn’t get her name. Hehe...

When we tried to walk in, we were being stopped by the officer. Of cos, why not right? So, we explained the situation to him. He communicated with someone, I’m guessing his superior. Numerous times, he said he cannot let us in. Tuas Checkpoint does not allow walk-ins. Sighs...

Someone else came out and talked to us. He gave us a few suggestions and all of it are mission impossibles. Me and ahbuii decided to head home, while the 2 girls took up the mission impossible. Respect!

We took another cab back home (it was a cab day or what?), then I received FB notification. It was Suyin. She said she is going back in the afternoon with her hubby and that is the back up plan if we really missed the bus. I was damn touched la! Damn relieved…

We placed our luggage at home and went down to grab breakfast. We were famished! We went back home and rest. Missed-bus-girl whatsapp’ed me introducing herself and called our little adventure “bus chasing team” Lol… She advised how much was the fare and her account number. She and another girl managed to go back KL. Yay!!!

We left the house and went to the place we agreed to meet up. We finally left Singapore at about 3pm. The journey was with bad traffic jam, slow moving traffic and mad smooth speedable traffic. 

We arrived home at about 8pm. While Suyin and her hubby head for dinner with her family, me and my hubby took the car out and had bak kut teh. It was raining and bak kut teh is just damn good to have when raining. 

I think next time we have to leave the house at 6am instead. T.T

Wedding in Ipoh

No, it’s not my wedding. Not yet… LoL. 

A while back, I went to Ipoh for a friend’s wedding. A high school friend. Really glad she tied the knot. She said she didn’t want to and it’s all purely pressured by parents. LoL…

So, I was doing all these plannings to explore alone cos I will be driving there alone a day earlier. At the end, none of the plans worked out. Lesson to be learnt, don’t plan. 

I left KL kinda late due to some unforeseen circumstances. Along the “adventure” driving alone to Ipoh, I saw a kinda bad accident. At first I thought it was a motorcycle that is on fire but NOOO! The whole car was on FIRE! Then, I stopped at the RnR and had Baskin Robbins and bought some fruits to munch on. :P 

I arrived Ipoh at about 6 or 7pm with heavy rain. I didn’t have an umbrella with me in the car, so I kinda waited for the rain to slow down. 

The only thing that I am glad that I did research and plan on is the hotel. I booked Golden Roof Hotel and I am amazed. Well, if u expect 5 star experience, please look elsewhere. This hotel apparently is new, the lobby is spacious, it’s absolutely affordable and most importantly, it doesn’t look dodgy. 

Once I walked into my room, the space is quite ok. Mounted LCD TV, queen sized bed, no cupboard tho, but they have hooks for you to hang your clothes. The toilet has rain shower! It’s definitely clean and no disgusting smell. AWESOME! 

Looking out the window is a school, so do expect some noise in the morning. If you are a DEEP sleeper then you got nothing to worry about. 

all freshen up!

After I got myself checked-in, I freshen myself a bit and off I drove out and went to my friend’s house. One of the girls and her husband were there alre. So we sat, ate and chatted a while. I even did mehndi on both hands! Amazed how she can draw freehand! 

When I was about to leave, the bride accompanied me to my car along with her cousin and her cousin’s husband. We talked a bit and then I realised the cousin’s husband is actually working the same company as me… small small world!

Went back to the hotel, showered and laze on the bed… and I can’t sleep at all. At the end I had migraine and I didn’t make it for the wedding at the temple. 

After I had enough rest, that’s when the rest arrive and about to go for lunch. We went out for lunch, hung out a bit then went back to the hotel to get ourselves prepared for the wedding dinner. 

The wedding dinner was really grand. We actually joined in the entrance with the bride and groom behind them. Then we sat down, then the usuals… makan minum. 

After the dinner, we went to an Irish pub nearby and drank some more. At first, the top floor was packed… and suddenly everyone left! The whole top floor belonged to US! Well, of cos, everyone went crazy on karaoke, darts and pool. LoL. 

The next day, we went for the famous dim sum at Ming Court Hong Kong Dim Sum. Then, we walked over to have the famous Funny Mountain Tau Fu Fah. Then we took our car and drove over to collect our salty chicken… and we all went on our separate ways. 

Glad to see everyone happy during the trip. Although something happened at the drinking session, but it’s all good. LoL… Saw on FB, another one of them got hitched. From the pictures, it really looked really nice wedding. I hope everyone will remain happy and healthy with their other halves.  

Bangkok Trip!

my first time on a plane! :D

ok la. if u consider when i was 5 yrs old to Langkawi then this is my 2nd time. but still! im was damn excited! 

the day started off by me waking up first and got ready and dressed. woke LGZ up and packed the remaining stuffs into our luggage. went for lunch with LGZ's sis and BIL and then they sent us to LCCT. 

and i thought the first time taking flight, i will be late and miss the flight. the feeling sucks! the whole car damn tensed up! 

we rushed towards the gate. i didnt expect LCCT is so big and need so much walking. T.T once we arrived the gate, only found out the flight was delayed. i sat and rest cos my head was spinning alre from rushing too much. @.@

initially, we were suppose to meet up with nikie and abbie in platinum mall, but bcos the flight was delayed, we meet up in the hotel instead. we stayed in White Palace Hotel.

we rested a while and freshen up a little and we went out to Pat Pong Night Market. we had dinner near by first then we walked there.

LGZ said i dont know how to do shopping wan. cos i am not a shopping person. so when i told her i wanna go on a shopping trip, she was like "you?! shopping trip?? ya right..." and indeed. she was right. =.="

our day 2 

woke up early and went for breakfast in the hotel's cafe. we went out straight to Chatuchak Market.

LGZ likes the sticky rice, i like the nata de coco. ^^ its really yummy and refreshing for a hot weather. 

SO MANY THINGS TO SEE AGAIN!!! bought a lot of clothes~ ^^ the purpose for this BKK trip is to change my whole wardrobe. haha!

ok la. i damn princess ah, i admit. i walk until my feet damn pain. brought the wrong socks with me oso. causing the shoe rubbing on my skin. damn pain ah. when i was sitting and enjoying this coconut drink, LGZ went around looking for socks. but not successful. muacks~ thanks bii. 

was sitting the whole time there smelling this yummy crepe. smell damn nice ah! until i cannot tahan and bought one and makan. 

after rested a while. we went looking for the others to head back to the hotel.

after Chatuchak, we went back to our rooms to rest. me and LGZ rest a while and went down again to walk along the streets outside the hotel. we went all the way out to Platinum Mall but it was closed already. so we just walked along the street. instead of looking for clothes and shoes to buy, we bought food instead. pasar malam style. LGZ found her favourite pancake that she ate from Krabi. to me its like... roti pisang with chocolate. we then stopped by at the McD opposite the Platinum Mall. they ayam goreng is so damn different! damn nice ah! 

we walked back to our room and watched animax until fall asleep. :P

our day 3

day 3 is more relaxed.

woke up for the breakfast of cos, then we headed out to King Power. erm... a bit regret for over spending the previous days. :P so many things wanna buy here but cannot. cos over budget. T.T

after King Power, the others went back to their room. while me, LGZ, nikie and abbie headed to Platinum Mall. had our lunch there and do more SHOPPING! hahaha! then we walked back to the hotel.

after dinner we headed back to the hotel. me and LGZ went down to walk around again. hunting more stuffs to buy. ahahahaa!

our day 4. last day~

 took our breakfast. checked out our room and hang around in abbie and nikie's room a while. went down and had our lunch by the roadside. we have trouble ordering the food. haha~

after lunch, settled some stuffs then me and LGZ headed to the airport while abbie and nikie stayed a while more until their turn to take their flight.

touched down and being picked up by LGZ's sis and BIL. 

my overall trip was... tired... tired... tired... especially my legssss... walked damn a lot! lesson to be learnt. bring fan along. bring anything that is cooling when u are doing lots of walking. 

nonetheless... the loot was... AWESOME! 

basically i spent about rm250 for the flights. LGZ's flight a bit more expensive cos she bought later than me. approx rm300 for accomodation. rm1700 for shopping/makan/minum/tuktuk/etc etc...
